Grief & Bereavement

Grief changes everything.

Whether your loss is recent or years ago, you deserve support from people who understand that grief doesn't follow a timeline.

Bereavement Groups

Small, facilitated online groups that provide a consistent, supportive space to explore grief over four weeks through shared reflection, guided practices, and optional discussion. Each session builds on the last — offering connection, grounding tools, and gentle structure to support integration, meaning-making, and care for your nervous system.

Led by Trisha Wilkerson with co-facilitator Laura Yon.

Grief Circles

Gentle community gatherings for adults navigating loss. In a supportive and welcoming environment, participants are invited to reflect, share (if they choose), and connect with others who understand. Through guided conversation, meaningful rituals, and the healing presence of nature, we create space to honor grief, foster hope, and remember that no one has to walk this journey alone. People of all beliefs and backgrounds are welcome.

Led by Kim Varner with a co-facilitator.

Kim Varner

Grief Mentor, Song Leader, Community Circle Facilitator

she/her

Kim offers community grief circles for all people navigating the waves of grief — from loss of loved ones or pets to life transitions, from health diagnoses to the parts of ourselves we hold in contempt, from climate grief to grief over world events. She creates a space where all grief is valid and important, where communal grief may be witnessed and felt through embodiment, sharing, singing, and ritual.

Kim has been a student of community grief ritual since 2020, tending her own extensive personal, ancestral, and communal grief. She completed a grief tending mentorship program and began facilitating grief circles in the Edmonds area in 2024.

Her 14-year background in clinical research provides a strong foundation for consent-based practice, leading groups, and holding space for families and individuals navigating complex diagnoses and medical systems.

Outside of grief and research work, you'll find Kim playing with her kids or at their hockey games, singing and drumming, growing vegetables in her garden, hiking or camping in the mountains, and spending time with her community.

You don't have to do this alone.

A simple conversation can be the beginning of something different.
